Actar-35 Retrofit
The ACTAR-35 is a rebuild of the Carl Zeiss Distagon 3.5/35 from the Contax 645 system. It's for use on Cambo Actus view cameras combined with DSLR or Mirrorless cameras.
Since the lens' image circle covers the 4,5x6 format it enables a horizontal shift of 10mm to each side when using a full frame (24x36) sensor and 6mm when using a 33x44 sensor.
The aperture ranges f/3,5 to f/32. The aperture is manual and there are no electronical connections available nor needed.
Note: This is a retrofit. Cambo rebuilds existing Distagon-35 lenses provided by the customer.
Retrofit Process
The original lens will be modified as follows:
- The focussing movement is removed, focussing is done with the Actus camera's rear standard
- The electronic aperture is replaced with a manual aperture
- The lens is fixed to a Cambo Actus lens plate
- The optical design is not changed
- The lens is rebuild in the quality as-is, in other words: no improvements are possible on the optical performance. The customer is responsible for checking the lens quality before submitting.
